SMUGGLING DUDS UFC 218 GAMBLING GUIDE

So UFC 217 threw some of the biggest curve balls in MMA history at us meaning we lost out on three big predictions but hey, it doesn’t matter as the hits keep on coming with another fantastic UFC card going down in Detroit this weekend.

PLEASE NOTE: The festive season is upon us so please make sure you spend some of your winnings on new Duds for all the family!

UFC 218

MAIN CARD
Max Holloway (C) Vs Jose Aldo (FW)
Like many fans, we were gutted to find out Holloway’s original opponent Frankie Edgar had to withdraw due to injury. So step in replacement fighter Jose Aldo who has clearly been waiting in the wings to get his revenge following his TKO loss to the Hawaiian in June. Will he get it? We don’t think so. Another bad night at the office for the former champ will once again come at the hands of the untouchable Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway.
WINNER: Max Holloway
METHOD: KO/TKO

Alistair Overeem Vs Francis Ngannou (HW)
You’ve got to give props to ‘The Reem’ for being one of the few fighters to actually agree to face Francis Ngannou. It’ll be a big surprise if Overeem can stop the ferocious force that is Ngannou and we expect the rising star to touch the former Strikeforce champion’s chin early doors and send him crashing to the floor.
WINNER: Ngannou
METHOD: KO/TKO

Henry Cejudo Vs Sergio Pettis (FLY)
This has 3 rounds written all over it for sure. It’ll be close but Cejudo might get the split decision if he can score at least a couple of takedowns.
WINNER: Cejudo
METHOD: Decision

Eddie Alveraz Vs Justin Gaethie (LW)
Gaethie lived up to the hype in his UFC debut and this bout with MMA veteran Eddie Alveraz will only help his growing fan base. Another fantastic bout that should produce some very entertaining exchanges. A case of who lands first – don’t blink!
WINNER: Gaethie
METHOD: KO/TKO

Tecia Torres Vs Michelle Waterson (STRAW)
Can the ‘Karate Hottie’ bounce back from her submission loss to new division champion Rose Namjunas back in April? Torres will stick to what she does best here and walk her down for 3 rounds, taking home a decision victory.
WINNER: Torres
METHOD: Decision

PRELIMS (FOX SPORT 1)
Paul Felder Vs Charles Oliveira (LW)
Not going to lie, Paul Felder Vs Al Iaquinta would’ve been more entertaining but once again, injury means a new opponent was required. You never know, it could be a surprise barn burner but unless the Brazilian can get Felder to the floor he’s going to get picked off for three rounds.
WINNER: Felder
METHOD: Decision

Alex Oliveira Vs Yancy Medeiros (WW)
Based purely on the fact Oliveira has come up trumps for us on his last two outings we are going to go for the hat trick and predict the stoppage in yet another great match up.
WINNER: Oliveira
METHOD: KO/TKO

David Teymur Vs Drakkar Klose (LW)
Klose shut down a ferocious striker in Marc Diakese only a few months ago and he’ll look to do exactly the same here with leg kicks and takedowns.
WINNER: Klose
METHOD: Decision

Felice Herrig Vs Cortney Casey (STRAW)
Both fighters have shown significant improvements in their game, especially Herrig who has managed to put all her skills together of late and produce some great wins. Flip of a coin this one.
WINNER: Felice Herrig
METHOD: Submission

PRELIMS (UFC FIGHT PASS)
Amanda Cooper Vs Angela Magana (STRAW)
Not really sure why Angela Magana is back in the UFC having not won a fight since 2011? We expect its something to do with her social media and recent beef with Cyborg. Amanda Cooper has not shown her full potential yet and even if she doesn’t in this bout, she’ll still take the win.
WINNER: Amanda Cooper
METHOD: Decision

Jeremy Kimball Vs Dominick Reyes (LHW)
Could be a bit of a barn-burner, with Reyes coming out on top.
WINNER: Reyes
METHOD: KO/TKO

Abdul Razak Alhassan Vs Sabah Homasi (WW)
Homasi failed miserably in his UFC debut and he’s up against here in the form of seasoned grappler Alhassan.
WINNER: Abdul RazakAlhassn
METHOD: Decision
