SMUGGLING DUDS UFC 241 GAMBLING GUIDE

Off the back of yet another successful outing for us last time we aim to please once again with another high return UFC gambling guide! Can Miocic take back the crown in his rematch with DC? Probably not..

UFC 241

Main Card (BT Sport)
Daniel Cormier (c) vs. Stipe Miocic (Heavyweight)
It was just over a year ago that Miocic was in the octagon having his title ripped away in quick time by the man he faces in his come back. Time out to reflect, focus on his family and training could work in his favour but we believe the outcome will be the same. Regular gambling guide readers will see that the team at Smuggling Duds have said many times that the only person DC can't beat is Jon Jones. Everyone else gets taken out.
WINNER: Cormier
METHOD: KO/TKO

Anthony Pettis vs. Nate Diaz (Welterweight)
Diaz hasn't fought since August 2016. That is a long time out of competition and against someone as good as Pettis he might take a little while to get warmed up. Pettis needs to impose his will from the first bell and not fall foul to the machismo effect of the Diaz brothers, as many have done in the past. If he gets drawn into scrap, Pettis loses. We thought about going for Diaz to win by submission but this one will probably go the distance. It'll be closer than people think.
WINNER: Diaz
METHOD: Decision

Yoel Romero vs. Paulo Costa (Middleweight)
There will be a few who might disagree with us but we think Costa is a future champion. This is not going to end well for the 42 year old 'Soldier of God'. He might be made of strong stuff but Costa will be too much. Reft o step in early doors.
WINNER: Costa
METHOD: KO/TKO

Gabriel Benítez vs. Sodiq Yusuff (Featherweight)
Great match up but a really tough one to call. Both fighters might be more cautious than usual so expect it to go the distance.
WINNER: Yusuff
METHOD: Decision

Derek Brunson vs. Ian Heinisch (Middleweight)
More great matching making here for a few reasons. Can Heinisch hang with a former title contender and can Brunson come back from two tough defeats? Brunson really needs a win here and for that reason alone we are going with him.
WINNER: Brunson
METHOD: KO/TKO

PRELIMS (ESPN)
Clay Collard vs. Devonte Smith (Lightweight)
Released from the UFC in 2015, Collard now finds himself back in the big league. Unfortunately it’s against rising star and overall powerhouse Devonte Smith.
WINNER: Smith
METHOD: KO/TKO

Raphael Assunção vs. Cory Sandhagen (Bantamweight)
Sandhagen will not only add a big name to his record but will also add to his 6-fight win streak.
WINNER: Sandhagen
METHOD: Decision

Manny Bermudez vs. Casey Kenney (Bantamweight)
Bermudez is only 25 yet has a 14-0 record. That's pretty epic. Both fighters are young, talented athletes. A potential FOTN contender.
WINNER: Bermudez
METHOD: Decision

Drakkar Klose vs. Christos Giagos (Lightweight)
Another very evenly matched bout. We advise to leave this one off the accumulator.
WINNER: Klose
METHOD: Decision

EARLY PRELIMS (UFC Fight Pass)
Hannah Cifers vs. Jodie Esquibel (Women's Strawweight)
With respect, both Cifers and Esquibel are probably never going to be title challengers and are more or less at the same point in their careers. We would argue Esquibel will get cut from the UFC if she loses here, and based on the fact she has lost her last 3 by decision, it’s not looking god for her.
WINNER: Cifers
METHOD: Decision

Kyung Ho Kang vs. Brandon Davis (Bantamweight)
Our prediction might go down as us backing the underdog but a potential upset isn't out of the question in this one.
WINNER: Kang
METHOD: Submission

Sabina Mazo vs. Shana Dobson (Women's Flyweight)
Fomer TUF contestant Dobson to either stop Mazo or take a clear points victory.
WINNER: Dobson
METHOD: Decision
