UFC 207 was full of surprises and just like most of the universe, didn’t expect Ronda Rousey to get blown away in less than a minute! Needless-to-say we still picked 3 fights where the winner, and the method, were both correct. So here we go, the return of MMA legend BJ Penn! Will he win? Let’s find out…

Yair Rodriguez vs. B.J. Penn (FW)
BJ Penn is awesome and this is what makes this one so tough for us. Now 38 years old and not scrapping since June 2014 is one thing, but going against a 24-year-old on a 7-fight winning streak just doesn’t have a positive outcome for the Hawaiian. Yair Rodriguez is going to start teeing off on the former UFC champ and might get the stoppage. Penn is one tough cookie though and unless the ref stops this, it should go the distance.

Joe Lauzon vs. Marcin Held (LW)
Lauzon has given us major headaches in the past by losing against opponents he should have beaten and winning against opponents he should have lost too! Easy for us to say I know, but you get what we are saying. A very inconsistent fighter of late who has the skills to beat Held, but the Polish superstar will take this.

Court McGee vs. Ben Saunders (WW)
Following another brief spell on the domestic scene, the UFC gives Ben Saunders another run in the Octagon. Facing TUF winner Court McGee is no small task but both are fighters that many argue have never reached their full potential. This is going to be a case of who wants it most on the night.

Frankie Saenz vs. Augusto Mendes (BW)
Mendes was welcomed to the UFC with a rude awakening when he was out in front of newly crowned champion Cody Garbrant. He’ll be looking to prove doubters wrong with a stoppage but will most likely end up getting the decision.

John Moraga vs. Sergio Pettis (FLY)
One time title contender John Moraga finds himself on the verge of being cut against one time potential next big thing and brother of Anthony, Sergio Pettis. We’d be surprised if this one doesn’t go the distance and like many bouts on this event, could go either way. We toyed with the idea of Moraga stealing a split decision but Pettis will play a safe game and take the decision.

Oleksiy Oliynyk vs. Viktor Pešta (HW)
Should be plane sailing for Oliynk this one. Expect the Russian MMA veteran to get the stoppage via TKO or submission.

Accepting this fight on late notice might prove the wrong decision for White and an easier night for Martin.

Walt Harris vs. Chase Sherman (HW)
‘Big Ticket’ just be too much to handle for the ‘Vanilla Gorilla’ but Harris often under performs and gets caught out so if Sherman comes out swinging and takes the risk he may just be rewarded.

Just one of many fights on this card that will go the distance. Both riding back-to-back losses but we expect Ansaroff to experience victory and join in the celebrations of her partner Amanda Nunes recent annihilation of Ronda Rousey

Mihajlovic has had a terrible start to his UFC career and to be honest, he’ll probably not get the win here either.

Dmitri Smoliakov vs. Cyril Asker (HW)
Two fighters that fell short on their UFC debuts. Unless Asker comes out like a wild man possessed (which might happen) it will be Smoliakov who secures the takedowns and get the UD.
